Austin, Cedar Park, and San Antonio publish site-plan routes. The other three cities ask for a property survey.

Most permanent residential pools use Austin's pool permit process.
A prefabricated pool less than 24 inches deep is permit-exempt. Electrical, drainage, zoning, and safety rules can still apply.
